Immediate reauthorization of the Secure Rural Schools and Communities Self Determination Act

It is vital that the Secure Rural Schools and Communities Self Determination Act be reauthorized. I come from a family of teachers. We were taught through example that there is no more noble profession on the planet than that of the educator of children. Adequate budgets are the first requirement that administrators, teachers and parents depend on for providing children with a quality education. Rural communities should be able to rely upon the federal government, a major property owner in many western counties, to pay their fair share along with every other property owner to ensure financing for our schools, along with all other services paid for with Forest Reserve monies.
